How do you remove the front windshield vent grill?

I have a rattle in the windshield defrost vent. I want to remove the grill and add a little felt in hopes of stopping this pesky little rattle that echos throughout my vents like a ventriloquist.

I can squeeze the grill in the middle and it pops up but there is somthing on both sides (left and right) that is holding it in place and I just can't seem to figure it out.

Anyone know how to remove this vent grill?

Rick T,
If you are trying to remove the defroster grill it just pops up. The vent clips to the dash (expanding plastic tabs). Starting on the drivers side I grab the grill with my fingers and pry up. Due to the fragile nature of plastic the clips may break off.

Thanks. Just as you said. Pinch the outer edges inward and pull up. Start at the middle and move to the outer edges. When I got to the left and right edges, it took a considerable effort, but poped right up.

Thanks
Rick
