ML320 BAS ESP and Low Range indicators on
![]() ** Update ** I must have inadvertently hit the Low Range switch. I was able to reset it by following the instructions in the manual. The BAS/ESP light remained on and still in "limp-mode". I searched the net and found the following tip to reset the FSS light but it worked for my BAS/ESP problem. Mercedes M-Class: How to reset Flexible Service System after an oil change turn ignition key to position 2 press reset button twice within 4 seconds turn ignition back to pos 1 press and hold the reset button turn ignition to pos 2 keep pressing the reset button until buzzer sounds and new miles display appears Last edited by FA2532; 02-08-2005 at 03:14 AM. |

Did anyone push on the part under the hood that the throttle cable hooks to? This can cause the electronic throttle to go into a limp-home mode, you may just need to have the code cleared.
If this isn't the problem I'd say the engine control unit went south. Gilly
