ML320 warning lights flashing and losing power
Every now and again my 1999 ML320 Auto (88k miles) acts up.
All of the warning lights flash intermittantly and the car loses power. The Speedometer and Rev Meter also jump up and down. The car has had a diagnostic from MB but they found nothing. Anyone got any ideas ? |

flashing lights etc
this sounds like a momentary power failure.
Battery cables corroded and loosing continuity. Ground cable from engine to chassis loose. Internal connector failing in battery. Look very closely at positive cables for corrosion under the insulation, near the post. good luck, Jim in Phoenix |

I agree, I'd consider a battery, even if it is only a few (2-3) yrs old. There may also be a bulletin pertaining to a 99 in regards to a bad battery ground cable, worth asking about.
