how do you disconnect tele-aid on ml320

How do i disconnect the tele-aid feature on my 2001 ml320. I do not subscribe to tele-aid but the previous owner was. But the message come on "tele-aid please visit work shop". I have contacted MB and they talked to tele-aid, they advised me that there was nothing for me to worry about and I can have it turned off at my local dealer(which is 2 hours away).

i believe you have to remove it by editing the version coding. be careful if you decide to just unplug something, by doing this you may cause the SRS light to come on. the system is designed to call the response center if air bag deploys. so if it doesn't see the tele aid module it may deactivate the other system as well

If the "visit workshop" display is on, there is a hard system fault.
The system can be deactivated by version coding the SRS control
unit and the instrument cluster. You will need to sign a disclaimer that
you want it deactivated.

Think the dealer is expensive? Do you know how much it costs to train a dealer tech? Or buy the required MB special tools to have on hand?
