Brand is not a big deal, as most of the companies making them for MB, are high quality IF you get the fleece ones (which is what you want). Paper ones are out-dated technology. With the fleece filters and synthetic oil, I have been simply following the FSS intervals with no changes in between (1999 ML 430), and the oil comes out clean and sludge free after every change.

They are availible here as well.

ONLY the Kencht/Mahle & Mann filters are "fleece" quality...MB numbers 000-180-26-09 OR 000-180-31-09...IF the filter is less than $12. then you aren't getting a quality part!

part number 000-180-09-26 should be 000-180-26-09
