1999 ML 430 Updated AC Aux Fan Wiring Harness

I have purchased MBZ part A163 540 00 35, updated wiring harness for the AC Aux Fans, which provides for a 40 amp fuse vs. the original 30 amp. It's obvious where the harness plugs in near the fans, but not so obvious where the harness connects to power and ground.

What is the correct way to get access into the electrical system to make these two connections?

Thank you--Jim Herold

it goes into the fuse box, underneath the fuses. You will have to loosen 4 screws that hold down the fuse panel and lift up the panel, turn it up and unplug the old plug, swap the wires and replug it back. Do a search on this forum and you will find more info. It looks intimidating but it's actually not very difficult. Make sure you disconnect the battery first.

Thank you--that sounds straightforward.

What has to be reprogammed after I reconnect the battery?

nothing needs reprogrammed, just have your radio code handy.
