Exclamation small emergency, help appreciated

So i am supposed to take a 250 mile trip home in a few hours. this morning the check engine light on my 2001 ml 320 came on and normally i know this is a minor problem, if a problem at all. however i also noticed that it definitely took a bit more RPM than usual when accelerating from 30-50. the car already has a service appointment at home this tuesday, i just want to make sure i will be safe for the 250 mile trip home...thanks in advance

With-out knowing what caused the light(scan for codes), HOW can you possibly guess whether or not that would cause a problem OR not???

SOME emission items can cause other problems.

YOU need to have system scanned to make that decision!

You can go to any autozone or local mechanic and they can read the code for you.
