Smell BAD when turn on AC

Would somebody please help me How to fix the BAD smell when turn on the AC?
Do I have to c/o the AC fitler if yes where is it? My car is ML320 2002

A/c Filter Q

I Changed Mine About 2 Years Ago Now. It Is Under The Glove Box.

I Just Soaked The New One Pretty Good With Pinesol Before Installing It And It Worked Great.

Helped Freshen Up The System Quite A Bit.

Another good rule of thumb is to turn off AC but leave fan on about 1 mile befoer you stop the car to get moisture out. I have never get any forgein smell by doing this.
