Anyone know a good mechanic???

Took my car to the dealer yesterday,they say that my car's dash lights dimming and idle surge are nothing to worry about, should I be worried?

and if so, should I take it to a independent shop and have it looked at, does anyone know of a good mechanic in the St. Louis area?
