What scanner/diag kit for 2000 ML320 ???

First, let me say this is a great service being provided here !!! Well done !!

I have a 2000 ML320, engine no. 11294230657993.

Can someone recommend a good scanner or diagnostic kit?
Where can I buy it?
How much does it cost?
Cost to ship kit to Melbourne, Australia?

Thank you, in anticipation.
andrew.

IF you want to be able to SEE all of the info in almost all the the systems then www.asttool.com or www.carsoft.com would be required.

That is fixin' to change in the near future; and the cost will be about 20% of the others.

Hope I did the right thing but just placed an order for a "MULTIOBD" scanner. I understand it is OBD2 compliant and includes the 16-pin plug and an RS232 cable for connection to a PC.

I guess I am taking a gamble in this purchase because my ML320 is an Australian delivery.

Any further views or comments will be appreciated......
