Oil and fuel filter change ML 320CDI

How to do it? My friend would like to know so he can do it himself on his new ML when the time comes.

I just did it this past weekend at 1100 miles. It's a piece of cake.

Vacuum the oil out through the dipstick tube. Replace the filter. Currently, the wrench to remove the filter cover is only available from MBUSA (Hazet will have one available soon.), and is very pricey. See earlier threads for the P/N.

He'll need 9.5 qts of the approved (only two brands) oil. I got the Mobil 1 ESP Formula M 5W-40 from my dealer's parts department.
