Question Possibly buying a G350D Turbo...

Hello guys! I'm new to the G-wagen section of this forum. Ussually I post in the Diesel Discussion section.

I'm looking at a G350D Turbo. Its a 1992 in really nice condition, in general terms. I opened this thread: I need to find out if a 350GD has the corrected conn rods...

to hear the opinion of the guys at the diesel section about the engine that powers this rig.

Now I would like to hear your opinion about it. What should I look for in this G? Things I should check before making a decision?

Thanks! Your help is much appreciated!

Soon to be installed: Bilstein HD, R107 front discs and 4-piston calipers, HD Suspension springs, wagon front swaybar.

That engine has been known to have severe over heating problems which damage the head. There is a factory fix, as MB has recognized the problem. You might want to be sure that the factory fix for the problem has been done. Without that, I wouldn't touch it.
