Question Resetting the "wrench" light on a '99 ML320

Silly question, but does anyone know how to re set the "wrench" maintenance reminder on a '99 ML320? The manual is kind of sketchy on the details. Also, can anyone tell me if there are child locks on the rear doors, or is there and autolock function? (doors lock automatically when put into gear or moving) any help is appreciated. This is my first german car, and I'm learning that things are a bit different!

1 Turn electronic key in the steering lock position 2
2 Within 4 seconds, press button on cluster between fuel gauge and speedometer two times twice
3 Note! The present status for days or distance is displayed.
Within 10 seconds, turn electronic key in steering lock to position 0
4 Press and hold down button on cluster between fuel gauge and speedometer, while turning electronic key in steering lock to position 2. The present status for days or distances is displayed once more. Keep holding down button"O"
Note! After approx. 12 seconds a signal beep sounds and the display will show 10,000 miles or 15 000 km for other countries
