1999 ML430 plug wires

I'm going to be changing out the plugs soon (first time since I've had the car, about 25k or so). Car has almost 90k on the clock now. Should I do the wires by default or are they generally ok and only changed when a problem is presented? Don't want to waste ~$185 if it really isn't needed right now. Thanks.

On my 2000 ML320 I just changed the plugs with Bosch OEM. Wires seem to still work fine.

IF you replace the spark plugs before the electrode is completely gone then the wires should still be good.

Bosch is OE on that application & Beru is aftermarket.

90K is way too long on those plugs....also if you read the maximun life is 5 YEARS or 100K whichever comes FIRST. should have been replaced 3 years ago!
