BAS/ ETS Issue.
Does anyone have any idea why the ETS light might come on, just a couple of days after having speed sensors replaced? Light came on just before my shop was supposed to give me the ML back. They are a bit baffled, as they are getting the same fault code they caused them to change out the speed sensors. They are going to replace the sensor that they fixed the other day, with hopes it is a faulty part. If that fails to fix the problem, any idea what might be causing this? My mechanic mentioned something about faulty wiring possibly causing the sensors to fail. Any thoughts/ suggestions would be appreciated.

What year? What are the codes?
Have them inspect the wiring on the ABS hydraulic unit.

Year & codes
The ML-320 is a 1999. Not sure what the codes are...I've got a call into the shop to find out.

my ETS lit up and stayed on after running. Someone suggested here and i in fact replaced the brake light switch (behind the pedal). That was the culprit and the ETS light went away after a start.
It seems that the brake light switch flicks two circuits. One is for the brake lights the other in relation to the ETS. While my switch for the lights are still working it was not properly switching for the ETS. As a result the ETS dash light indicator would turn on and stay on while running the vehicle |
