the USA version vin is different than the REST of the world! So when VegasTodd posted this he was correct here in the USA " vin# WDCYR49E84X144658 "

Yes, in the USA EPC the Vin can be de-coded either way.
In fact we use the term chassis number for what every-one calls the VIN. Again, just for info.
