Mercedes OEM Coolant

I have recently read that the MB coolant you buy from the dealer is premixed 50-50 with water.

Is this true?

I just paid $31 for a gallon, and if its 50-50, I am gonna be unhappy for $31 / half gal coolant. Thats $62 / gallon!

Bought some Zerex G05 to make me feel better.

Do I have to redo my recent coolant change (as I added 50-50 distilled water to the MB product).

Anyone know if the OEM coolant is 50/50 or pure coolant?

Someone must know.

It is not premixed. The gallon bottle should have part# q 103 0002. At $31 I think you paid way too much.

Thanks for your insights.

I wholeheartedly agree that $31/gal for OE coolant is r@pe. But its the dealer.

That's why I picked up some Zerex G05 for the future @ $15/gal.

I avoid my local dealer for everything I can. The left rear door actuator I bought online @ $195 was $245 + tax at dealer. I chuckled and told him I would find one elsewhere.

Just bought some MB coolant from the dealership for $15. Not premixed. I could not find the correct zerex in my area.

Zerex G05

Do you have Carquest stores in your area? They are the main distributor.
