body panel question

Hi Everyone,

On the 2004 ML500, I am seeing the clear coat wrinkling up and coming off on those corner panels that transition the rear side glass to the rear glass.

What is the correct name for that panel?

Is this something that needs to be repainted, or re-cleared, or can I buy the painted panel new and just swap it? The car is black, so color match isn't a issue.

Finally, are those bolted on from the inside? - how do they come off?

THANKS!

You can either buy new ones OR remove the old ones & repaint OR even repaint the old ones in place.

They are "glued" on.
