What is this part called? Please help! Leaking badly
Hi guys,
Does anyone know what is this part called? And what is the part number? It's installed in the back of transmission on the bottom rear. The car is 1999 ml430 with 153k miles. This part started leaking again. I had it leaking last year but is stopped by itself. I completely forgot about until today. After 1.45 drive I pulled over for 20 minutes and discovered transmission oil stain on the ground. please help!

I think it's a kickdown actuator. The wire from this part goes through floor to area around kickdown switch area. I cannot find part number or any info on EPC.NET.

After checking alldatadiy.com this part appears to be shift interlock. Will check on part number with dealer tomorrow

Sorry I'm chiming in late, yes that's what it is, you'll need a new shift interlock cable, i don't believe the seal is sold seperately.

Available as a spare part..140-270-13-65 with a $12.50 suggested list.
Takes about 2 hrs to replace as the pan must come off & the parking pawl pin removed.

By any chance, do you know part number for interlock cable itself? Couldn't make it to dealer today so I will go tomorrow to check if they have them in stock. Thanks

I finally found part numbers on Alldata. They are under transmission/rear flange section.
