Why does this G-Class have pimples?

You can see them all around the windows. It's something I never noticed them before so I went through all my pictures and I only found one with similar bumps around all the windows. It seems to only be on boarder patrol/police models.

Perhaps it's something to do with strength because of the roof turret? (Although military units with turrets don't seem to have them.) Also if that's true why not Gs with sunroofs?

I'm pretty stumped on this one.....

It is where they mount the mesh to prevent things from being thrown at the windows and being broken.

More of a crowd control model, less of a hardcore military truck.

I thought of that as well but they look too flush to be able to have anything mounted to them.

Or are they just caps and underneath them there are screw points? (Higher res pictures would be nice)

This is the only example I could find off a Finish unit but it's hard to see.....

Could be heads for something mounted inside the doors, maybe armor plates?

Nice truck BTW, I need to get myself something like that, wonder what the reserve is?

I found out that they are for mounting screens. I'm waiting for closeup pictures to shed a little more detail on the situation.

The reserve ended at $15,000 which is about what its worth. A lot of people use Ebay for advertising because of it's reach.
