W164 transfer case fluid service

Where is the fill plug on the transfer case for the w164 ml350? I see the drain plug on the lower back left. There is a similar plug just above it to the right. That it?

I find lots of DIY articles for the w163 transfer case. W164 is proven more difficult to find.

If anyone has the play by play for this procedure, please throw the link in your reply. Thanks

As far as I can tell there is no WIS procedure for this, as there is no requirement for ever changing this fluid ... capacity is all of 0.5 liters, BTW, so obviously the fill plug won't be much higher than the drain plug. (If you have 2-speed transfer case, capacity is 1.5 l)

Procedures for replacing seals that are included in WIS involve removing the case from the vehicle and simply state drain/check fluid and note that plugs are tightened to 22 nm. That is, it's assumed obvious which are the plugs and, frankly, it should be.

Fluid to use is Mercedes ATF, spec at least 234.12. This is NOT ATF you can buy at PepBoys, etc.
