What's a 1951 2010 worth?
Friend of mine has a '51 2010 for sale. Any idea what I can offer for the thing? He also has a 404 for sale but I forget to ask him what year it was. Could someone point me to some good websites? *ahem* like.. heh, Frank?

Howdy Kuan
What any of the old Unimogs are worth depends on the condition of the unit. Also how rare it is. The 2010 is a rare bird compared to something like a 404 who are numerous. The range on the 404 is about $5,500 to $9,000 USD for a good to excellent unit. Having said that it does look like a sellers market because the number of good units are dropping. Here is one site where people post what they have for sale. http://www.carradine.net/exchange You might find someone there that is selling one of the "Mini Mogs". Another site for general Mog info and links is: Rocky Mountain Moggers. You will have to do a search for them, I don't have the url. You probably wont be able to find the info you are seeking on a web site you will have to find someone that has a 2010 or has sold one. If you want I can ask a couple people about it.

Howdy Kuan,
I found a couple 2010's someone was selling a little over a year ago, both were runners. They both had some problems but fixable. I think one had rust but from what I have gathered it is fixable also if you are a good body man (or know someone). They are diesel, I don't think any were gas from the factory. The diesel has 32 horsepower. These were tractors. One thing I have picked up on is that the 2010 is becoming rare enough that if in original or restorable condition they are not used for much more than parades and shows. A better choice for a work or play Mini Mog would be a 411 or 421 because they aren't as rare. 1951 was the first year of production and the 2010 was the first Mog built by MB. Previous Mogs were built buy the company that developed them. That was Bouhringer who started production in 1948. If one of these things has the stylized "Bullhead" on the hood then it's as rare as hens teeth. Well that is probably more than you wanted to know Hope this helps.

Howdy Tracy,
To somewhat answer your question, It probably is. It could be a 401 that was the next in line or it could be a 411 that was built in the 60's. They all have that long slopping hood. They are all in the Mini Mog catagorie. There are a couple more models in there but I would bet that's a 2010.

Sigh no, I just wouldn't know where to put these vehicles. The guy is an old friend of mine named Matt Oliphant. He lives in Pasadena or something.

Howdy Kuan,
Sorry you don't have the room. Matt was who I was reffering to in my other post. He lives right over the hill from me.
