ML 320 window won't go down

I am the original owner of a 1999 ML 320 with about 285,000 miles on the clock. Recently, the rear passenger side window stopped working. It won't respond from either the console or the rear switches. I checked the fuse and it is not blown. All other windows work normally.

The window switches in the console have been replaced three times (sigh). Twice by the dealer under warranty and most recently by me seven years ago at 135,000 miles.

I suspect a problem with the motor inside the door. But I hate to remove the inner door without checking with youse guys first. What else could be the culprit? Thanks.
