ML 320 window won't go down
I am the original owner of a 1999 ML 320 with about 285,000 miles on the clock. Recently, the rear passenger side window stopped working. It won't respond from either the console or the rear switches. I checked the fuse and it is not blown. All other windows work normally.
The window switches in the console have been replaced three times (sigh). Twice by the dealer under warranty and most recently by me seven years ago at 135,000 miles. I suspect a problem with the motor inside the door. But I hate to remove the inner door without checking with youse guys first. What else could be the culprit? Thanks.

The window inexplicably works now. I didn't do anything to it. Now, of course, I'll be leery of using it. A window stuck open is a lot worse than a window stuck closed. So if anyone has any diagnostic suggestions, I'd still like to get to the bottom of this.

I have the same problem and replace the console two moths ago. I found with this last one I had to push the switch to the side as I pulled up on it for it to make contact.
To get the window up, this is a nagging issue with this vehicle. You can order a new one on Ebay for $55 Its very easy to install |
