Sprinter 4x4 4wheel drive system question
Can anyone clarify the sprinter 4x4 system. The 4x4/awd system that I am most familiar is the one on the ml16/164 and the one in the g500 since I am fortunate enough to own those.
is the sprinter 4x4 system always awd but you can flick a switch to get it to lock the center differential (or something like that) when you need even more extra traction (I think sprinter call this low 4x4). Or is it a rwd vehicle and flick a switch to get it into 4x4 mode. If this is the case how fast can you normally drive in this 4x4 mode. I want to know if I can be in 4x4(awd) mode/traction and drive it at freeway speed like the ML and G

It is normally rear wheel drive and the 4x4 is meant for offroad/slick situations only. 4x4 is not for on-road or high speed use.
