Dear Peach Parts people,
I had a problem with my 2007 ML 350 starting. It was intermittent. Got the wise idea to replace the starter relay. As of now, this has worked. Cranks every time.
Took the old Tyco relay apart. Discovered that the contact wasn't even touching the post. I got a Hella relay and discovered a big difference.
The Tyco uses an inferior flat piece of metal as the tension for the contact return. The Hella uses a spring. Anyone knows that a spring will not lose its retention over a long period of time vs. the flat metal.
