2012 ML 350 HVAC Failure

A few days ago I noticed the AC on my 2012 ML350 was not very cold so I had the system serviced and added a small amount of Freon. The system returned to normal. This past Saturday I switched on the AC and nothing, no blower fan, no compressor engagement. I checked the fuses and did not see a blown fuse. I returned to my independent technician who discovered the wire from the fuse panel to the blower fan was fried but the fuse was not blown. He replaced the wire with new and a new fuse and all is OK now.

I write this story as a caution as this may have caused an interior fire.
