Scratch on ML bumper...need help

I backed into a cement post and scratched my rear bumper on my 2002 ML 320 . As you can see from the picture it didn't dent the bumper but scratched it a bit and put a circular rough spot on the removable piece on the lower part of the bumper....What do you think the MB dealer will charge to fix and what will they do.

I did almost the same thing on mine. When I found out that the replacement bumper was about 450 (US) plus paint I decided to live with it for a while... Searching the web revealed that for at least the 2000 model bumper, that there are few places selling rear ML bumpers. ... If you find anything, please share it!

LeBenz....

If I didn't dent the bumper, I assume I wouldn't need to replace it.

If there is no structural damage, you can take to any paint shop to have it painted, or remove the bumper itself and just take the part in. Call a MB dealer in your area and ask them who they recommend for painting and take it from there....

While I haven’t done it yet, I’m told the bumper covers are pretty easy to remove and replace...

I work at a bodyshop...

no need to replace bumper.. at the body shop they will remove the bumper.. put some filler on it.. sand it smooth and primer it.. than repaint the whole thing.. at my shop we would charge only $300 canadian..

Sure! Don't know the part # but call any MB parts department and they'll have it. It might even be available through FastLand. You can contact Phil and he'll let ya know
