EGR Flow Problem

The problems never end........ :-(
I'm driving last night and the Check Engine light comes on.
Check the code, and it's P0400 (Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow).

Any clues on what/where/how to start checking??

This vehicle is driving me crazy....... I have NO problems with my S500, but this one MORE than makes up for it..... :-(

Thanks.

Most common problems are the EGR valve($76.) itself & the tube from the EGR valve to the intake plugging up.

I haven't dug into the engine area yet to check, but what are we looking at here to get to the EGR valve and the tube??

I'm guessing a good cleaning would be the first step??

Thanks!

M.B.DOC,
Where can I buy the EGR valve at this good price ($76)?
I need to replace mine. I tried cleaning it and after 20 miles of driving, the P0400 popped back again.
Thanks.
Danny
