I am relatively sure that the newer style tail lights are a direct fit and require no adapters.

Gilly is correct! It's plug and play. Tabo... are you talking about the HID headlights? They require an adapter...

Smile Tail light adapter issue...

Gentlemen,

Tabo and I completed this modification earlier today (Jan. 21st). Everything went well and the new tail lights look sharp !

A few things to note:

First, while the new bulb harnes for the 4 rear bulbs (brake light, reverse light, turn signal and tail light) fits the wiring adaptor that is already in the car, there IS a new adapter that is required to hook up the small, 4 watt bulb that is located on the very bottom and side of the tail light (it is a side marker light and does not connect to the main light plate with the 4 other bulbs on it). You need to splice two wires and run them to the two connectors on the "little bulb" socket (it is about one third the size of the regular bulbs in the tail light assembly).

Second, be careful to test your wires and make sure you are hooking this new side marker light up to the same circuit as your regular rear tail light. If you get the wires mixed up, you might have the side marker light go off when you hit the brakes, or it might flash when you activate your turn signal - so check the wires !

Other than that, this is a simple modification that takes about 15-20 minutes.

Hans

He (tabo) did say to email him at acura0@hotmail.com email address for any inquiries, which by the way, is the same exact identical email on the eBay auction you linked to.

So, what do you think?
