Question Window malfunction, adjustment needed?

My back passenger window squeaks and rubs against the rubber sides when it rises, as if it needed to be aligned or adjusted.

Any clues on what could be going on and what I should look for?

Thanks

Hey Bayer...
Well i have had similiar problems on my 2001 ML. Mostly with the drivers window..the window squeaks when it goes up and there is always a streak of grease also. It seems that the rubber on both sides are so tight against the window that it rises slowly. One day it broke.

Had the motor replaced at the dealer. Nothing really you can do. Thats how they were built. Kinda sucky. Feels like they used a Honda window motor. If anyone else has suggestions..let me know too.

Actually...

I believe the honda motors are more reliable than the benz motors =) I had several motors on my ML replaced under warranty.. My hondas and acuras never had all these problems...

yeah..thats not what i mean! heheh. I meant that benz motors sound and feel like honda motors. Slow and sluggish. You are right though, my 94 civic windows still work great!

2001 ML motors and relays and switch replaced twice within one year..

There must be an adjustment somewhere?

I had a similar problem with a 230 CE year ago in Spain. The dealer had it in various times and tried to even sell me a new window. Then when he suggested the door was bent, I went to a small German shop, run by a German. He adjusted something in the window mechanism and it was fine.

Gilly, do you know of any adjustment in the window mechanism
?
