Similar Job?
I just did the front brakes on 1984 300DT (W123) How similar is the front brake job if i wanted to do my 1999ML 430. Thanks Guys.

Front ML brake pad swap is easy. You have to take the calipers off to do it though.

Very easy job...
Floating caliper.. Easiest kind of brakes to change.. I believe the caliper is held by two allen 5 socket... change it when the brake light maintenace light is on!

Not really. The calipers are bolted onto the backing plate behind the disc. I just did the rears a few weeks ago, but I don't remember what size wrench (or socket) I used.
Just take care while installing pads to rest the caliper somewhere that doesn't cause any damage to the brake hose attached to it.

Speaking of easy...
How easy it was for me to change the ML rotors too.. they came out with no effort.. possibly the reason was they are changed around every 2nd or 3rd brake change.. they were sure heavy!
