Changing brakes on 2001 ML 320

Hi guys,
Time to change the pads on my 2001 ML320. I'm pretty surprised how fast they go. The break light went on in the dash cluster saying thats its time to replace the pads. Dealer said its 160 just for pads for the front. Anyone know if i have to get a new sensor? Dealer says i need it.
ALso, where is a good place to get pads? Thanks..

Fastlane.

Mintex pads (they include the sensor)

cheaper than OEM, as good if not better braking, and a TON less dust.

This is a little confusing.
ML's are ALL 163 chassis.

What is being asked is the VIN number breakpoint. Look at your WHOLE VIN#. You need to look at the LAST SIX numbers to determine the VIN breakpoint for the particular part.
The breakpoint on the pads is evidently 083628/083629.
So, if the last six on your VIN were 055000 for example, you would want the "083628" part number, as it is BEFORE 083628 numerically. If the last six on your VIN were 099051, yo would want the "083629" part number, as you are numerically AFTER 083629.
If this is still too confusing, post the last six digits of your VIN number and I can help.
The VIN is located on the lower drivers side of the windshield (under the glass) or on your title or vehicle registration, and also on your insurance card.

Gilly

ps The vin number on a ML320 will start "WDBAB54" and is 17 digits long.
