Coolant Loss on ML320

Coolant loss experienced in Hayes, KS pulling 4000lb trailer from Atlanta, GA to Denver . Co.

Some of you who are experiencing coolant loss, get this:

1) lower radiator hose may experience loss of sealing ability to lower plastic radiator fitting. It seems that the hose at its juncture to the radiator thins in its walls and looses its sealing ability, despite adjusting clamp pressure. Dealer said the hose is on National back order, and typically coolant loss is related to this phenomenon. New hose, under warranty no problem since.

Hose walls may be inadequate at this critical juncture.
