Wondering if this is worth making an offer

Hi, my name is Jason and I'm usually on the diesel discussion board. I happened to find this on ebay last week and was wondering if its worth making an offer for it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2473876668&category=31854&sspagename=WDVW Does anyone know if it can be registered, since the guy says it has no VIN. Also, are G-wagens expensive to repair regardless of year? Thanks in advanced.

self assemble

I am but a lurker to this idea of non titled vehicles but I would think that with all the work that thing would need you could register/title it as a "self assembled" vehicle. It wont be registerd/titled as a G-Wagen.

Also in it's condition you might be better off just having fun with it and put some Toyota or Jeep running gear (or combination of) underneath it. Use engine and tranny out of a 300DT and add a divorced transfer case (Dana 20 or Atlas) and your set to go.

If I had the money I would do it my self in the drop of a hat.
