Windshield wipper/washer stalk replacement

The windshield wipper/washer stalk on my ML snapped off in my hand over the weekend. I'm taking it in to the MB dealer to see if it's covered by warranty. In the chance it is not does anyone have any estimate of parts cost or the level of labor involved in repairing it? Is it a do it yourself job or do you have to mess with the airbag and pull the wheel to get the job done?

Thanks,

What part exactly?

What snapped off? the windshield wiper arm? or just the wiper blade? the wiper blade with rubber is around $60CAD for each wiper blade..

I was speaking of the stalk on the steering column that controls the windsheld wipper/washer.

Should be around $200 installed, I believe, depending on the labor rate in your area.
Yes, remove airbag and steering wheel. Also the shroud around the steering column. After that it's just the steering angle sensor that needs to be removed and a few more screws and it's done.
You'll get both levers (windshield washer switch side and the turn signal/headlight switch) plus the hazard flasher. Not the cruise witch and lever, that attaches to the multiswitch and is a seperate part, they need to transfer that over.

Just a follow-up status: The dealer replaced the stalk under warranty, no charge, truck ready in about 1.5hrs.
