Hey Gilly..had the codes read....
Here they are....
1. Code 116-transmission oil temperature sensor. 2. Code 1140- N49 (steering angle sensor) is not initialized. 3. Code B1858- Two way radio signal, the code is not synchronized.... 4. Code B1784-CL signal contact passenger door supplies implausible values..fault during locking. 5. Code B1040- CAN bus-fault in communication..Trip computer. 6. Code B1471- Component Outside teperature sensor has --//- That's all of them Gilly....all that for a Check Engine Light....which by the way has disappeared for the last week...l tried re-installing the Cold Air intake, and l unplugged the battery for thirty minutes, then l unplugged the MAF for 15 minutes...lve had no CEl for the last week..go figure...l'm stumped...though l have to say, that l like the sound the CAI intake makes..it sounds much more throaty...Any HP gains, who knows...maybe with a performance muffler like Supersprint might help...How's that for info Gilly............. |

I don't see anything there that should set the check engine light. Did they read AND erase the codes, or just read them? Either way I'd have the codes checked again right away if the light comes back on. Also did they identify any of the codes as being "current" as opposed to being a stored code?
There are 2 codes which would only moderately concern me, and those would be the temp sensor in the transmission, which may mean the conductor plate is going bad, and the one for the trip computer. Because the trip computer is connected to the CAN data bus, it can short out and "crash" the CAN bus and actually really screw up alot of things (vehicle won't run even, I've seen it!). MB did have some bulletins concerning this, it may pay to have a dealer check and see if there are any outstanding service campaigns on this truck. But yeah if the check engine light comes back on, get the codes read at that time so they can see what the reason is (check for a current code) Gilly
