You live closer to Euro Tech than I do, I think! I still use him, it's worth it. A nicer guy cannot be found.

Soon to be taking posession of a 1983 380 SL (one of my childhood dream cars) which looks as if it hasn't had much work done on it over the past five years. Was going to have it trucked down from the Peekskill area to Hudson Cty NJ where I am. Car starts right away and is drivable on side streets, but it needs a decent amount of quick TLC so I can convince the missus I didn't just buy a car I can't drive on the road. Brakes, shocks, fluids, soft top, chain replaced, etc. The shops I've noticed that have been recommended the most are European Tech Center of Park Ridge, NJ and Roxsbury Foreign Auto of Roxsbury, NJ. Am I missing any other obvious shops in the neighborhood?

I have to check out Wolfgangs. I drive by it amost everyday (used to live around the corner from his shop). Glad to hear that people here use him.

I take my 240D to Udo's in Tenafly. His shop does great work and does it right.

Never go to Roxbury Foreign car. I've recommended so much business to him over the years and in the end he screwed me over and several of the people I recommended to him.

Best guy in the state is Peter at A1 German Car Service. Middlesex, NJ.

Bell's Service in Paramus (201.652.8197) is really the best mechanic for Benz in the state!!! I drive all the way from Brooklyn NY to have work done on my 3 MB autos!

Also about Bell's in Paramus…they're honest and fair in their pricing. Why go to an amateur when you can go to a professional. MBs are quality cars and deserve quality service!
