Good independent MB shop in NYC area?

Does anyone know of a good independent MB shop or a shop specializing in late model MB cars in NYC (Brooklyn preferred) area?

Need to install EBC "Green Stuff" brake pads on my '00 E320.

TIA.

M-B Fan,

Best shop I know of is about 45 minutes away in Ramsey, NJ. (Although I am not an expert in NYC)

Call Ralph at Ramsey Motors at 201-327-3200. They specialize in MB repair and are independent. I took my car there for 14 years and still visit every one and a while from Ohio.

I believe ther site is: www.ramseymotors.com

Good luck!

I have not heard of "Morris Auto". I find it
harder each year to get good service in the
Rochester area.
I try to do the basic stuff myself up to and
including brake work, valve jobs, interior
removal type things like window regulators,
window channels, locks, belt/hose replacement,
radiator, water pump removal, but: for larger
jobs or jobs that involve getting under the
car (no lift in my garage) I tend use the
following shops in or around the Rochester area:

(*) Holtz (dealership) / for cars < 15 yrs. old

(*) F&T ("Fiel & Ted") (York Street / off Maple)
Good on older models.

(*) Bowen's Sunoco (Monroe Ave) / "John" has old
Benz experience.

I would like to get this thread going again and
find some good shops in the Rochester, New York
area.

Hey guys,

I also wanted to list Ridge Automotive as a possible place to get your work done.

Just ask for John Imbrgia, he was a mech @ Page One Import and knows the w124 chassis.

We should get a MB club going!

As far as a club, or meeting to talk "old"
Mercedes, I'm interested.

Jeff,

let me see from my side how many people want to do this and you gather some people and we can all meet somewhere.....only bad thing is winter is coming next week and it would be hard to check out each others cars or something

maybe we could get together a wash/wax party because this weekend is looking pretty good

by the way I live in henrietta

This weekend is not good for me, sorry to say.
As far as getting people interested, I know
very few people locally that would be able
to participate. I know (let me count them)
"2" old Mercedes owners in the region. Both of
them are tough to get motivated to do those
kinds of things because of family, etc.

Thanks for the referral to Mitchells! I should have been more specific in my post in that Manhattan or Queens works best for me; but I very much appreciate your reference.

Bob
