What to do on a nice bright day like today if you live in a ritzy suburb of Columbus that has nothing to do for the 20 and below age group? Why... you go over to your friend's house... ask your dad for the 9mm Glock, the .44 Magnum(circa 1968) and a .45 caliber. Then we drove to the nearest hunting/camping store. Being the genius friend I got... he simply said "I need bullets". I felt embarassed since it made us look bad.... 3 guys walking into a store and ask for a @($&* load of ammunition. Afterwards, we drive way out of town into a middle of boon country. I am surprised to see some really nice houses there for cheap. A house that would cost $300k in boon country would easily fetch $2mil in my neighborhood.
After getting to the place, we meet up with the gun pro, who turns out to be my friend's dad's old co-worker who retired. He was a great guy... showed me some of his "collection" and the ammo he uses.
I take a fully loaded gun into my hand, a 9mm glock and prepare to shoot at a bunch of empty cans. This is the first time I was going to shoot a REAL gun. This is far more than the BB's I used to shoot as a kid.. this is the real deal. I was anticipating a good recoil as I saw what happened to my friend, but I guess he's not strong. I let go of the safety... aim and shoot 50ft down the range, and hit the can dead on. I precede the next 3 in a row until I miss. I managed to hit 5 of 7 on my fist round ever. Not bad I thought. Then I upgraded to the .45 caliber. That gun was nice... but I liked the glock better. I hit the same cans over again untill I ran out of bullets. Afterwards I went to the .44 Magnum. That shouldn't be called a gun... but a miniature cannon. Good thing I had a good set of ear plugs or my ear drums would have been shattered. Instead of using cans for this one.. I placed some 1 gallon plastic jugs full of water. When I hit the jug dead on from 50 ft... that thing shattered and went up into the air. Wow... and it had a massive recoil too. We went through 150 bullets in under 1 hour... but boy was it fun. First time I went shooting, too. I guess I am turning to a redneck each day I stay in this state

I made a promise not to join the NRA, *hoping I don't break it*
