Computer Speaker help
I've been eyeing the Klipsch 5.1 Ultra for awhile now, only downside is it cost $400
I was checking out the Klipsch website and came upon their parts site click here Here is what I found Ultra Central Channel speaker $ 21.90 Ultra Satellite Channel speaker $ 18.39 (x4) Control Module $ 33.39 Ultra Speaker wires $ 9.54 Total would be $ 138.39 (okay I was being a little cheap by not getting the speaker grills @ around $3.50 each x5 ) Now does anyone know which Subs are used for the Ultra line ? I'm sure it can't cost $ 250. |

Not being a "gamer" or one to watch DVD's on my computer, I'm bemused by the audio end of the PC world, which used to be a 2.5" paper cone speaker near the front panel of the case for the beep codes, to mega dollar 7.1 setups.

With such an elaborate setup on a PC, who needs a media room?
The only real need for all of this would be in a college dorm room! My PC audio output is to my mixing board in my home studio...no need for onboard PC gear except for a decent audio card residing in the PCI slot!
