Who are these insurgents?

Iraqi freedom fighters my ass.

French insurgents killed in Iraq
Three Frenchmen have died fighting with insurgents against US-led troops in Iraq, reports say.

The men, all of Arab origin, were killed in the country over recent months as the insurgency has flared.

Two of the men were aged 19 and the third was 24 years old, a French official said.

Authorities estimate that around a dozen Frenchmen of North African or Arab background have travelled to Iraq to join the insurgency.

The men were identified as

* 24-year-old Tarek W, from Paris, killed on 17 September

* 19-year-old Redouane el-Hakim, killed on 17 July

* Abdel Halim Badjoudj, 19, killed on 20 October.

French officials were checking the identity of a fourth man who was killed in recent weeks to see if he, too, held French citizenship.

Officials say the men probably travelled to Iraq via Syria but say that there is no proof of an organised recruitment network.

However, French newspaper Le Figaro says the men were helped to cross into Iraq by contacts in Syria.

Actually, you may get an education about Baathism if you are not careful. The Baath Party is not a party of Iraqis, it is a party of Arabs, who desire a secular socialist Arab nation that spreads from Algeria to Iran. In Iraq, we are facing for the most part, a Baathist insurgency and as such we are attracting Arabs from all over the world to come join their Arab brethren and fight the colonialist invaders. The actual ulterior motive of the Bush Administration and Blair as well, is the surppression of the Baathist movement, which nationalizes oil assets whenever they take control. Terrorism has its roots in the Jihadi movement, which wishes to unite all Muslims into one nation and destroy the US, and this movement was brutally surppressed by Saddam in Iraq. The whole "terrorism" thing is a trumped up bunch of bald face lies,concocted as a cover story for the actual aim. We continue it daily by making the Jihadist Zaqhari responsible for everything, using the "Goldstein" technique found in the novel "1984", when in truth the vast majority of insurgents are Baathists fighting for their particular ideology, which they have done since the 1920's.

BTW - when we were the insurgents back in 1776, we had lots of Frenchies fighting for us, one of whom was one of our best generals, the Marquis de Lafayette. Shame on us.

But that was the last time the french were really on our side..........ever since they were against us. Exept to play nice enough for US to bail their sorry butts out after they surrendered to the germans after only 15 minutes of fighting.
