I understand, Narwhal. The close-ups are especially horrible. A young woman who once worked for me has a cousin in ****et who owns a diving shop. She didn't learn of his fate until yesterday afternoon. He's okay, banged-up, but okay. His shop gone. That's as close as this horror has come to me. On another M-B forum a young woman from Indonesia posted a note right after it happened but she hasn't updated it. I can only imagine the terrible desolation of soul that those people must feel. All of them.

With the satellites you can insulate yourself a bit. They're from a variety of sources, which makes comparisons interesting. It's not often you get a chance like that.

Don't think I could deal with what those poor souls have to deal with...........

And I hope I never have to find out for certain in my lifetime either.

I choose not to watch anymore footage...I get the picture. I was watching the LCD while making dinner and saw the video of the first wave when it hit, it was sunny calm people by the pool and then BAM it was gone.

Sad indeed, Still can't figure out why there was no warning at all. After I read about the record quake on drudge I wondered how big the Tsunami was going to be, a person would think they were wondering the same thing.
