Unhappy How much does your AUTO INSURANCE COST monthly?

Man when you add your teenagers to your Insurance COST SKYROCKET. Right now i'm paying $345.00 a month for my truck and my 17 year old and his 2002 F-150.
What are you paying?

What Insurance company are you using?

I'm paying $175.00 per month for these two and a 1989 Dodge B-250.
No collision on any of them.

It's the lowest cost insurance in New York, by far.
But, I have taken the driver's training course and I have a discount from SAE.

I pay $126.00 a month for three cars. Two are fully insured and the 300E only has liability because of its age and mileage. All are insured by Geico.

About $2K per year on a 2002 CLK55 and 1991 300CE. That's with 300/300/100 limits and $500 ded. Full coverage on both cars.

$200 a month on the SDL with just glass and theft. Collision would cost tons more. I can't wait to get into my 20's hopefully if I keep a clean record it will drop; I would kill for $100 a month.

Wow, I'm in Austin, Texas I wonder why so much for both mine and my son even though he's 17. Mine is running me about $95.00 a month and his of course is costing about $250.00. I like State Farm, I thought there rates were always reasonable. Maybe its the region and where i'm living.

I'm paying ~$72/month for the 300CD and my CJ7. My GF insures her 240D for ~$50/month. All liability only and 50/100/50.

Wow!! When I was 16 I was allowed to drive my mother's car but I always had to pay my own insurance. My father is a strong realist (i.e. you want to drive, you have to have insurance, you have to pay for insurance in order to be able to drive) He viewed driving as my privelage and not my right. My mother's car was 10yrs old at the time (1976 Pontiac Ventura 3sp. V8). Had I wanted my own car, I would have had to (and did) buy it myself. I didn't like it at the time; I would have loved to have had a 2/3 yr old vehicle and insurance that someone else paid for. Now that I'm older, however, I realize how much that kind of stuff taught me...

Tom - I was once a satisfied State Farm customer, until they started jacking my rates because the area I lived in was incorporated into a town. Their computer decided that I was now a higher risk even though I hadn't moved.
I shopped around and saved a bundle. You might consider doing the same.

Wes

Oh yeah, $2183.50 per year for four vehicles and two ATVs that are licensed for the road. Two of the vehicles are collector cars with no limit on miles.

Two cars fully covered $160/month. It was $200/month before I moved 25 miles away.

Now that is outrageous. Are there any "driver issues" in that rate? Excessive violations or juvenile drivers? That's more than what I pay in NY for one of them.

$59.00 per month for liability only, for one car, 1981 300 SD. When I renew it should go down to about $45.00 a month. For Harris county that's pretty decent.
