Lawn mower parts

I have aScotts lawnmower with a Briggs & Stratton engine and a Tecumseh transmission. The drive pulley on the transmission is made of plastic and mounts on a metal drive shaft. From 4 years of belt adjustment the hole that mounts to the driveshaft has become oval shaped. I called Tecumseh and they only sell the transmission as a whole, not the pulley. As a whole the mower is in mint condition, cleaned after each use, etc. The question I have is do you know anyone that can get the pulley for one of these. I have tried several of the local Tecumseh dealers and have no luck.

I think Scott's is MTD which makes Lawnboy, Yard Man, John Deere Sabre and many others. Try googleing MTD parts, if you don't prevail I have a friend in the small tractor biz that I'm sure could hepl you out. If you would like I can PM you his info.

I think he is the regional repair center for MTD, and Cub.

Thanks for the help. I did some research of my own and it is a peerless/tecumseh 301 series. To maintain the quality any of the transmission parts are not sold seperately. I did find a tranny new for $20 so I went with them. Thank you for your help.
