extra seating for SLs legal?
I see kits available to add back seats to SLs. Is this legal? I don't mean legal from a go to jail when you're pulled over standpoint, I mean legal from a risk to occupants and insurance standpoint. An SL is rated to have at most two aboard and you had four aboard which created a voluntarily unsafe situation so we're not paying.
Can I put another set of belts in our minivan and claim it to be an 8 seater? Shouldn't add-on seatbelts be subject to DOT testing? Thanks, Sixto 95 S420 87 300SDL
