Import to US from Canada?

Hey all,
I recently purchased a 1982 300SD from Canada, and I was just wondering if any of you have ever imported to the US from Canada? What should I expect at the border? I'm not getting many answers from our government offices (big surprise....), and I'm getting a little frustrated. What documents do I need on the car to clear customs? Thanks!
