New Pool!!

Well, we've had all the heat we can stand in central Texas so, Berry Hill Farm got a new pool this weekend. I rigged-up the well cord so I run the pump with my generator and we spent Saturday and Sunday afternoon sitting under the trees in my middle pasture, giggling at each other, drinking adult beverages and sitting up to our navels in cold, clear water, courtesy of the Wilcox-Carrizo aquifer.

The TOAD returning from the mercy mission

Delivered!

In use!! NO DIVING - NO RUNNING

Pool looks cool.

Just be sure to dump in a capfull or more of chlorine ever day if you don't change the water. You would be amazed how quickly pool water goes bad when untreated (a few hours will do it!). You can get test strips at any pool supply place and just try to keep chlorine level around 1.5ppm

Won't that chlorine make the water taste funny to the cowz?

Seriously, we pull the plug on it when not in use. Only takes a few minutes to refill with clean, cold well water.

Man, I envy you. All that land and a POOL to boot! I want to move out of town so bad I can taste it. Spent this past weekend in IN admiring the farmhouses with nice, big poll barns and/or traditional barns. What I wouldn't give for some property like that! Enjoy a cold one for me in that there pool, will you?
