Simplex/Duplex Satallite internet...pro's and con's.

Now my Mercedes is paid for, I thought I'd get me a satallite internet connection.
I have need to use www for my job.
Would love to increase my download speeds.

Have checked the sites on line and Hughs seems to be the leading company..
any input would be appreciated.

I'm using it. It's not too bad, browsing speed isnt lightning fast but you can catch some really fast download speed, comparable to cable. It was kind of a bugger to setup for a network, up until recently, its quite a bit easier with the new modem. It isn't real stable like cable or DSL, because wind and stuff, its as good as the TV satellite would be in any given condition. They say something about a D/L limit when you first get it, X amount of MBs per day, not a big deal, I've never been stopped or anything, its pretty good if cable isnt available, but its pretty expensive, at least I think so.

I cant even remember, something in the hundreds of megabytes, but I've downloaded full movies.... legally of course.... and like I said, had no problems. I think they just say that, theres no real way to enforce it, and it might have changed by now, the limit could be gone, I got it like 2 years ago.
