Newer Jags are still junk!

I thought the new Jags ie XJ8 and newer were pretty reliable cars. Here is a running total of repairs my Grand parents mint sub 50k mile XJ8 has needed this year:
$3,500 for AC/computer repair.
$6k to replace the trans that blew up all of a sudden.
$2k for other computer and broken stuff.

Expensive year, they should have bought an S class! My grandfather likes the Q45's at this rate they may defect to more reliable Japanese cars!
